What is a Digital Twin, and how does it differ from a standard 360 tour?

A Digital Twin is a high-fidelity, dimensionally accurate 3D model of a physical space that evolves with real-time data. While a standard 360 tour offers a visual walkthrough, our digital twins (such as those we developed for Vodafone Three) integrate BIM data, IoT sensors, and spatial measurements. This allows for lifecycle management and simulation, rather than just visual inspection.

What industries benefit most from 3D scanning and asset digitisation?

We provide specialised digitisation across diverse sectors:

  • Retail: Enhancing customer immersion (e.g., our Harrods & Tiffany & Co. Virtual Tour).

  • AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction): Providing scan-to-BIM services for accurate site records (e.g., Stockport Homes, Unilever and Haskoning Engineering).

  • Heritage & Culture: Preserving historic sites in high-definition 3D (e.g., National Trust Stowe, Ibiza Heritage and EU Horizon Europe projects).

  • Industrial: Mapping complex facilities like the MTA New York train yards and Soufflet Group food factories for operational planning.

What technical deliverables do you provide after a 3D scan?

Depending on your project requirements, we provide a variety of high-accuracy assets:

  • BIM-Ready Models: Revit (.RVT) and IFC files for architectural workflows.

  • Spatial Data: Point clouds, OBJ files, and schematic floor plans.

  • High-Res Media: 4K print-quality photography and immersive 3D walkthroughs.

  • Cloud Hosting: Private and secure hosting with custom menu overlays to highlight large spaces and jump between sites.

How accurate are your 3D digital twins?

Our use of professional-grade LiDAR and photogrammetry hardware (including Matterport Pro3 and high-spec drone sensors) ensures high precision. For AEC projects like our BIM modelling for Stockport Homes, we deliver data that meets rigorous industry standards for measurements and structural documentation.

  • Create 3D walk-throughs and virtually take anyone immediately to a site or location.
  • Generate OBJ files and point clouds for as-builts and construction documentation.
  • Export your point cloud into ReCap® or Revit®
  • Perform remote inspections, measure while offsite, and reduce site visits by capturing all data the first time.
  • Communicate key milestones quickly and effectively by eliminating travel time and by sharing and annotating in the model to get sign offs.
  • Replace thousands of photos by capturing all imagery and data at once, and save time by eliminating the need to document, arrange, and label photos.
  • Get reflected ceiling plan images and schematic floor plans.
  • Capture spaces that are geospatially accurate
  • Integrate IoT sensors inside your data center into the digital twin...bring your models to life.

Have you heard of Industry 4.0?

Industry 4.0, or smart manufacturing, signifies the digital transformation of manufacturing, bringing real-time decision-making, enhanced productivity, and greater flexibility and agility. This revolutionises how companies manufacture, improve, and distribute their products.

Industry 4.0 enables building operators to leverage AR (Augmented Reality), VR (Virtual Reality) , IoT sensors (Internet of Things), and Digital Twin technologies for smart data center building operations. With one scan, your center will be digitised and ready to be turned into a smart building in days.

Seamlessly integrate building operations, optimise processes, and achieve improved ROI through the power of real world visualisation.
